Cathodic electrophoresis involves the penetration of paint film into metal micropores, achieving complete overall coverage, rather than surface adhesion:
Rust prevention is far superior to painting and better than ordinary electroplating
The paint film is uniform and dense, without dead spots, peeling, or detachment; it remains rust-free for 3 to 5 years in humid or oily workshops; paint easily peels off, exposing iron and causing rust.
Anti-static / Conductive Stability (Preferred for Electronic Workshops)
The surface resistance of the black electrophoretic coating is 10⁶~10⁹Ω, providing permanent anti-static protection. It can be paired with anti-static plastic-coated tubes to form a complete ESD system. The chrome-plated connectors are insulated but do not provide anti-static protection.
Strong adhesion, resistance to friction and impact
The disassembly and assembly, collision, and wiping in the workshop do not cause delamination; the paint peels off easily when scratched, and the electroplating tends to peel.
Matte black is aesthetically pleasing and doesn’t show dirt
It matches perfectly with the black anti-static plastic-coated tube, presenting a neat and high-end overall appearance; the chrome-plated finish is prone to fingerprints and noticeable scratches.
